Transcol TH83 Thermik F White
Hydrofuged mortar, with thermal insulation and glass fibers for bonding and coating thermal insulation boards of EPS, XPS, and cork agglomerate, in facades and exterior and interior walls.
Substrate
Apply on ceramic brick masonry, concrete blocks and concrete.
The substrate must be older than 30 days.
The EPS, XPS, and cork agglomerate boards must be properly dry and clean.
The application should be done on flat and regular walls, correcting them if necessary. If the substrate is too dry, lightly moisten the surface 20 minutes before application, or in specific cases, apply a surface regulator and/or use Transcol Parget for different types of substrates.
Application Method
The mixture can be made manually, using a concrete mixer or machine.
Mix the contents of the 25 Kg bag with approximately 7 liters of clean water until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained.
Once mixed, the mortar must be applied within the next 30 minutes. Apply a 6 mm thick layer of mortar onto the board, using the flat side of the stainless steel trowel. Then, use the toothed side of the trowel, at a 60° angle to the base, over the freshly applied mortar. Apply the EPS, XPS, and cork agglomerate boards onto the substrate, pressing them with vibratory movements.
The mortar will have a minimum thickness of 4 mm after the boards are set.
Once the boards are attached, reinforce the corners of the walls with appropriate profiles and angles around openings with anti-alkali fiberglass mesh.Cover the insulating board surface with the first layer of mortar, applied with a stainless steel trowel, stretch the anti-alkali fiberglass mesh with lateral overlaps of about 20 cm, and smooth the surface with the flat trowel, ensuring the mesh is well stretched and covered.
For a textured finish, use Transcol Revdecor, Acrylic or Transcol Revtherm.
Safety
It is recommended to use a dust mask to protect the respirable crystalline silica, goggles and gloves when handling the product. If there is contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Do not ingest.
